  1. Bubble Cloud

Thinking and Design Process: The piece was meant to be a cloud, but as I added more small foam balls, it looked like bubbles. I realized that you can completely transform a design by simply using different combinations, even with the same materials.

  1. The Good Dinosaur

Thinking and Design Process: Since I wanted to stack the foam balls higher, I realized that a supporting system was necessary. To achieve this, I experimented with a new material: metal wire. I named the piece 'The Good Dinosaur' because the round shape of the foam balls gives it a gentle and kind appearance, unlike the aggressive look of a T. rex.

  1. Murdered Snowman

Thinking and Design Process: It might seem terrifying at first glance, but if you think about it, you’ll realize that a snowman can’t be murdered. That’s what I love about this class—I’m encouraged to freely visualize and express all my ideas. I got the idea while working on another piece. I made a huge mess in the studio, and everything was covered in foam ball flakes, making it look like a snowman had been murdered there.

  1. Fungal World

Thinking and Design Process: I had run out of ideas for the final piece, but thankfully my friend was nearby, so I asked her for help. She said, 'Fungal.' Everything instantly made sense in my mind, and I started working on it right away. I love how the small pieces of foam balls represent the fungal cells and hyphae so well.
