These patterns were first inspired by the traditional Japanese family crests. I created those patterns with a special technique. As you can see, I stacked many dots together and made those overlapping areas white. This effect helped me build a complicated and delicate pattern in seconds.
These patterns incorporate the concept of “closure” in Gestalt psychology. If you look carefully at those two pictures, you may notice more than one square and circle.
I tried to form Marilyn Monroe with these dots. Although I made the curly hair with the special effect mentioned in part 1, it still doesn’t look like her. It was worth a try, though.
You may think this one looks fine, yet to me this one is on the top of other work. This is because I’m a huge fan of Rubik’s cube and this work is inspired by a type of Rubik’s cube, which we call “clock”. I couldn’t stop smiling when just even looking at it.
