A good man is like a bottle of well-brewed wine
This work is a combination of a 高粱 package and a self-advertisement. As you can see from the topic, “a good man is like a bottle of well-brewed wine”, I believe a man grows and becomes more mature as time passes. As a result, I practice this idea in this package to enhance my image of being a man of maturity. My design, including the slogan, the logo, and even the pattern of color share the same concept of a 高粱 package.
I made many different slogans for the package. The most significant one is the one in the front, saying:” brewed for 18 years”. This makes an introduction of my real age and perfectly fits in this wine-alike package.
Moreover, I also added many elements of dogs, such as the small logo of a cute puppy and the footprints of dogs in the front. This is because, in Mandarin, we sometimes use the phrase “single dog” to ridicule who is not accompanied by a girlfriend.
Last but not least, the label on the back helped introduce myself in detail, which mentioned my hobbies, favorite food, height, and so on.
I didn’t want to spend extra money on this assignment at the first place, so I looked around my room to find something useful. Then, I found this cardboard box, which wass covered with brown color and initially contained a water bottle. The shape of this box quickly reminded me of the package of 高粱, which then became my topic.
Once the topic was settled, I started to adopt the other elements of 高粱 package and designed the skin to cover its surface. I didn’t paste the paper skin with double-sided tape, instead, I choose to make a plastic cover to better attach the skin on the package.
additionally, I made the label with some help from my neighbor. She had a machine that can print labels out. So, basically what I had to do was send the file of my design to her, and paste the label on the package once I received it from her.
