Course Introduction
Through reading, discussion, and practical exercises, explore various types of data, such as environmental data, physiological data, and social media usage data, to creatively collect and interpret them in daily life (both virtual and physical). This serves as a new tool for designers to understand different contexts and users, as well as a new material to create a new design language.
Learning Goal
Understanding the relationship between data and people (actions, semantic connections, privacy issues, etc.)
Creatively collecting, organizing, labeling, and presenting data
Constructing understanding and imagination of different users and life context from the perspective of data and things
Analyzing and applying data as an aid for future design proposals
Time and Location
Theme 1: Everyday Data Observational Plan
W2 (3/01) - W8
In the theme 1, teachers will lead students to understand the relationship between "data" and people, and to design their own data collection methods.
